Acts242: Devoted to the Apostles' Teaching
Acts 2:42 in the NASB95 translation reads "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." But within a short time false teachers started "drawing away disciples after themselves" to such a degree that the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths." The time the apostle spoke of was then...but it also is now.
We want the spirit of Acts 2:42 for ourselves, not the spirit of modern Christianity. We therefore want to devote ourselves to the apostles teaching, to fellowship, to breaking bread, and to prayer. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." While true and final satisfaction awaits glory, God does reward those who seek Him now. As much as I am able as God gives me light and liberty, I plan to share those things of the apostles teaching with you all to aid in that journey.
2 Thessalonians 3:1 NASB95
Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you;

Believe This or Be Damned? The Dangerous Dogmas of Mary
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The Catholic church requires belief in four "dogmas" about Mary the mother of the Lord Jesus in order to be saved. They are as follows:
1. Mary is the Mother of God
2. Mary was perptually a virgin
3. Mary had an Immaculate Conception
4. Mary was bodily assumed up into heaven at the end of her life.
This podcast shows what a Catholic believes about these dogmas and how they would be defended from scripture. We then go on to see what the rest of the Word of God says about this subject and seek to show how these dogmas lead to worship of Mary which is in essense idolatry.
